EN: This project is a study created during the Paper Collage in After Effects workshop, taught by Levy Motion, featuring original artwork by Helo Mello. In this workshop, we explored hand-cut elements, simulated depth, and transitions that mimic the handcrafted feel of stop-motion. We learned how to blend real textures with digital movement, bringing in the charm of cut paper, soft shadows, and those intentional imperfections that add life to the composition. More than just a technical exercise, it was a creative experience to test rhythm, visual storytelling, and the power that simple shapes and layered compositions have to build something fun, dynamic, and full of personality.
PT-BR: Este projeto é um estudo criado durante a oficina de Colagem em Papel no After Effects, ministrada pelo Levy Motion, com arte original de Helo Mello. Nessa oficina, exploramos recortes manuais, profundidade simulada e transições que imitam a estética artesanal do stop-motion. Ensinaram a misturar texturas reais com movimento digital, trazendo o charme do papel recortado, sombras suaves e aquelas imperfeições intencionais que dão vida à composição. Mais do que um exercício técnico, foi uma experiência criativa para testar ritmo, narrativa visual e o poder que a simplicidade de shapes e camadas tem para construir algo divertido, dinâmico e cheio de personalidade.
